Los Angeles
California, Saikiran's home state, stretches from the Mexican border along the Pacific Ocean for nearly 900 miles. Its terrain includes cliff-lined beaches, redwood forest, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Central Valley farmland, and the Mojave Desert. In Southern California, the city of Los Angeles is the seat of the Hollywood entertainment industry. LA is the second most populous city in the US, filled with a variety of culture, arts, food, an lifestyles. Montrose, California, Saikiran's home town just northwest of LA, is set on the edge of the Angeles National Forest.
Airport
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the primary international airport serving Los Angeles and its surrounding metropolitan area. LAX is about 20 miles from the venue. We recommend LAX for most travelers.
Long Beach Airport (LGB) is the regional airport in Long Beach, just south of LA. This airport may be a good option for those who are traveling from a nearby state and don't want to navigate a particularly large airport like LAX. LGB is around 8.5 miles away from the venue.
Weather
September in Los Angeles is typically warm, sunny, and dry. Average daytime highs are in the low 80*F, with cooler evenings dropping to 65*F. It is considered a transition month where summer heat lingers, and rain is very rare.
Guests should be prepared for a portion of the ceremony to be held outside. Shaded areas will be available.
Transportation
Lyft and Uber are both available in the Los Angeles Area. Be sure to check travel times, as they can vary significantly throughout the day, even for short distances!
We will not be able to coordinate any shuttle services for guests. The venue is not walking distance from the recommended hotel, so please ensure you have a plan to get around the city!
Hotel
There are many Airbnb rentals & hotel accommodations available in Los Angeles across price ranges. LA is huge, so please be sure to check locations on a map before booking. There will not be a formal room block available, but guests interested in staying in the same location can stay at:

Phoenix
Arizona, Shelby's home state, is known for its iconic Saguaro cacti and natural wonders like the Grand Canyon, San Francisco Peaks, Colorado Plateau, red rocks of Sedona, and the Sonoran Desert. Along with the beautiful views, Arizona has a warm, sunny climate, Wild West history, Native American cultures, and economic drives historically tied to its "Five Cs": Copper, Cattle, Cotton, Citrus, and Climate. Northern Arizona boasts the world's largest contiguous Ponderosa pine forest, a vast 2.6 million-acre expanse stretching across northern Arizona from the New Mexico border to the Grand Canyon's South Rim. In Flagstaff, Arizona, Shelby's home town, you can expect an average of 100 inches of snow each year!
Airport
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is the largest airport in Arizona, and our recommended airport for guests to fly into. It is about a 20 minute drive from the venue and hosts most major airlines.
There are a large variety of rental car companies available at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport for those wanting to get a car. Use the free SkyTrain to get to the rental car area!
Weather
December in Phoenix is mild, dry, and sunny, making it one of the most comfortable times of the year to visit, with average daily highs in the mid-to-upper 60s°F and chilly nights. In 2025, December was warmer than average.
Guests should be prepared for the full ceremony to be held outside in the shade, and for an outdoor dance floor after dinner.
Transportation
Lyft, Uber, and self-driving Waymos are all available in the Phoenix Area.
Leaving the airport is usually quick & easy, whether getting picked up, renting a car, or taking a shuttle.
